Tim Isaac's "Fish by Fire"

New 2012 stock from Tim Isaac arrived today at the King's Point Fine Craft Gallery! Mmmm..I love turtles..his new clay turtles that is...the (turtles) chocolates are also very good of course...but back to the topic at hand...lots of new fish by fire, bowls, trivets...

Tim's Raku...love the vibrant colours, the unpredictability, the smoke and fire of his work! We've admired his work for...mmm... at least 30 years!) He has lived by the ocean in New Brunswick for the past 20 years but came by way of Elora, Waterloo and  grew up in Manitoba. Tim is also a passionate musician having played the cello since age 9. He spends half his year as a musician and other half playing with mud & fire!! Check him out at www.timisaacpottery.com

Purple is the new blue!

Especially when we are talking about the artist Marcia Poirier and her natural royal purple seashell jewelery!.(..whose new 2012 work just arrived to our gallery from Canada Post today!)
She calls her business "Wild About Wampum", named after the ancient aboriginal currency made from the very same local quahog shells (that sometimes houses the rare hidden purple colours) as she uses today. Marcia collects her shells from all across Atlantic Canada and hand crafts her work at her studio in Cocagne, New Brunswick. They really are as she says " (Natural) Jewels from the ocean's shores!"

Another "Bright-on" reason to visit the Green Bay

We were all down in Triton (1 hr from King's Point) having a meal out for Mother's Day and decided to head over to Brighton to see the sunset. Wow! Route 380 is...lots of trails, the 43 ft sperm whale pavillion, great food, boat & kayak tours...and excellent for photography as you can see.

Lost emails...augh..pls resend!

If you or someone you know has written to kingspointpottery in the last week or so ...you should know we don't have your message. We actually lost the emails for the past 3 months but it is mostly those in the last few weeks that we have no solution for. Sorry to our customers... I guess sooner or later computer stuff happens!
Hopefully word will get around and those customers will be good enough to email one more time? We are not ignoring you...we just have (hopefully temporary) hardware issues.

Sorry!

New Pottery on the Rock!

Albert County Clay Company are the duo of Judy Tait (the potter) and her husband David Tait (the clay digger, processor...). They live in Curryville near the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick. (I love the delicious sounding name of their town...mmm!) The red local Bay of Fundy clay is what they have used over many years to develop their own unique (secret) clay recipe to make their delightful kitchen and dinner wares. We are so pleased to be able to exclusively represent their unique mono print designed products here on the island portion of  Newfoundland and Labrador!

Hot in icy cold blue!

Alexis Templeton's work seems to get even better the closer you look. If only everything else would work this nicely!

Philosopher's Stone..second shipment...

Great stone and wood workers share that sense of really listening to what their materials have to say and there by creating something wonderfully unique each and every time they meet. We invite you to see, feel and hear what these stones might have to say to you at the King's Point Pottery Fine Craft Gallery this summer!
