And the award for #1 retailer in Atlantic Canada goes to...

David Hayashida, Linda Yates & Sandra Jamison tourism NB

.... the Newfoundland and Labrador company of....King's Point Pottery Gallery and Gifts. The hardware was handed out at the Atlantic Canada Craft and Trade Show gala event in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

"Coming from a tiny outport of under 650 people, it was particularly thrilling for us to win the highest award in Atlantic Canada. It is quite the contrast when you consider that last years winner was from a town of over 400 thousand. Linda is proud to point out, her home town is in fact the smallest to ever take home the award. And as it has been a decade since a Newfoundland and Labrador company has won this prestigious award, it is truly a provincial celebration for us.

We believe the "Outstanding Retailer Award" is a reflection of the 150 wonderful craft-artists we currently present. Our long term goal is to showcase 365 different craft-artists, in order to be able to celebrate a different producer each and every day of the year! As we are not even half way to our goal, there is much to look forward to in the coming years!

Linda and I wish to thank all our customers for making us an Atlantic destination. We invite you to stop by and discover for yourself the treasure trove of creativity that makes King's Point Pottery the 2013 top craft retailer in Atlantic Canada!"

Our sincere thanks,
Linda Yates, David Hayashida, Cal, Tracy, Victoria, Wallie and Biscuit.

PS: As we said at our acceptance speech ...thank you to the CCNL for nominating us and to the Craft Alliance for the award!!
